Fried poha mixture | poha chivda recipe : Fried poha mixture is a popular snack recipe across India, which is accompanied by flattened rice, ground nuts, roasted Bengal gram. it is spicy & tasty snack followed in India, & it has become instant also best snack recipe.
Fried poha mixture is usually stored for 10 -15 days, after completion of preparation, literally is one my favorite snack, although everyone may love poha snacks. it is mostly prepared when we going for long journey.
Do not use more turmeric powder to make it more colorful, because it causes bitter taste. I have given below every detailed step by step Fried poha mixture recipe that will help you too prepare it easily.

How to make Fried poha mixture :
Preparing ingredients :
- Firstly, take 3 bowls of flattened rice, 3-4 spoons ground nuts, 3 spoons roasted Bengal gram, red chilies 5-6, chopped garlic 5-6, few curry leaves.
- Furthermore, take 1/2 spoon cumin seeds, & 1/2 spoon of mustard seeds. just keep all of them aside.
Making Fried poha mixture:
- In a pan add 2 small table spoons of oil, let it heat on low flame. then add 1/2 spoon cumin seeds & mustard seeds, they will begin to splutter.
- Then add 5-6 red chilies, sauté for one minute, and add 3-4 spoon ground nuts, roast for 2 minutes on low flame, then add 2 spoons roasted Bengal gram, roast for 1 minute.
- Then add few curry leaves fry till they become crispy. also they have changed color slightly.
- Next add chopped garlic. you can add ginger garlic paste also, here I'm adding chopped garlic. sauté till one minute.
- Then add 1 spoon of turmeric powder & salt as required to your taste, also combine them well.
- Now add flattened rice to pan and combine well. & roast till they become crispy. serve and enjoy poha , once they has become crispy remove from the flame, & let them cool down to room temperature.

Step 1 Firstly, in a pan add one table spoon of oil, and let it heat for a minute on low flame.
Step 2 Add 1/2 spoon cumin seeds, and 1/2 spoon mustard seeds, and sauté for half minute. then they will get cracked.
Step 3 Add red chilies 5-6 and 5-6 chopped garlic, sauté for a minute, then add 4 spoons ground nuts, sauté for 2 minutes till they will get black spots.
Add few curry leaves sauté for a minute and add 3 spoons of roasted Bengal gram. and roast for 30 - 40 seconds.
Step 4 Then add one spoon of turmeric powder, add according to the amount of flattened rice. and combine once.
Step 5 Add salt as required, combine well, and Add flattened rice as required to the pan then combine all.
Step 6 keep mixing for 2-3 minutes on low flame till they become crispy. poha has become crispy then turn off the flame.
Step 7 Tasty, and crispy poha mixture ready to serve, enjoy Fried poha mixture at any time of day.
Ingredients :
1 Flattened rice - 3 bowls
2 Ground nuts - 4 spoons
3 Roasted Bengal gram - 3 spoon
4 Cumin seeds - 1/2 spoon
5 Mustard seeds - 1/2 spoon
6 Turmeric powder - 1 spoon
7 Salt - as required
8 Few curry leaves
9 Red chilies - 6
10 Garlic chopped - 6
11 Oil - 2 spoons
How to make poha mixture :
1 Take 3 bowls of flattened rice, 3-4 spoons ground nuts, 3 spoons roasted Bengal gram, red chilies 5-6, chopped garlic 5-6, few curry leaves, 1/2 spoon cumin seeds, 1/2 spoon mustard seeds. keep all aside.
2 Firstly in a pan add one table spoon of oil, let it heat on low flame for a minute, then add 1/2 spoon of cumin seeds & mustard seeds, they will begin to splutter.
3 Then add 5-6 red chilies, sauté for one minute, and add 3-4 spoons ground nuts, roast for 2 minutes on low flame, then add 2 spoons roasted Bengal gram, roast for 1 minute.
4 Then add few curry leaves fry till they become crispy. also they have changed color slightly.
5 Next add chopped garlic. you can add ginger garlic paste also, here I'm adding chopped garlic. sauté till one minute.
6 Then add 1 spoon turmeric powder, and salt as required, then combine all.
7 Now add flattened rice snack to the pan as required to tempering or quantity which you want to take before. & combine well, roast till they become crispy.
Make sure the flame on low- medium, once done with this step just remove them from the flame, serve and enjoy Fried poha mixture
