Raw coconut chutney for rice is a delicious recipe for rice, which is prepared by raw coconut. it has two methods of preparation, one for rice and one for breakfast such as Vada, dosa, idli
Breakfast recipe includes few groundnuts, where usually served in hotels. it is one of the famous primary preferred chutney along with groundnut chutney and onion tomato chutney for breakfast.
But here I have prepared this Raw coconut chutney for rice, this would be delicious chutney for plain white rice. I have given every detailed step of this recipe to make it easy for readers.
Raw coconut chutney for rice is widely prepared side dish in south India, generally is a regular recipe which has been followed by south India. tempering is also optional after preparation of this chutney, but I prefer tempering in final step.

How to make Raw coconut chutney for rice :
Step 1 In a fry pan, add one table spoon of oil, & put this pan on flame, let it heat for a minute.
Step 2 Add half spoon cumin seeds, half spoon mustard seeds, when they started splutter, add one spoon coriander seeds, one spoon Bengal gram, one spoon urad dal. then sauté for 2 minutes on low- medium flame.
Step 3 Take 5-6 green chilies, add to pan and sauté for one minute. if you want more spicy add extra 1 or 2 green chilies.
Step 4 Then add washed and chopped raw coconut 3/4 bowl to pan and sauté for 2 minutes on low to medium flame.
Step 5 After that add 1/2 spoon turmeric powder, combine all. then turn off the flame and let it cool down for 5 minutes.
Grinding Raw coconut chutney for rice :
Step 1 Furthermore, Transfer it to mixer jar, add 3-4 pieces tamarind, salt as required, add half spoon ginger garlic paste or garlic ribs and ginger 1/2 inch.
grind it to smooth paste, by adding 2-3 spoons of water. once done transfer to serving bowl.
Tempering for Raw coconut chutney :
Step 2 In a same pan add half spoon oil, and let it heat for a minute.
Step 2 Then, add few curry leaves, 1/4 spoon urad dal / black split gram. sauté for a minute,
let them turn to golden brown color and transfer to prepared chutney. then Raw coconut chutney for rice is ready to serve. hope enjoy your meals with Raw coconut chutney.

2 After a minute add 1/2 spoon of cumin seeds, 1/2 spoon of mustard seeds, sauté for a minute. then add one spoon of coriander seeds, one spoon urad dal/ black split gram,
and one spoon of Bengal gram sauté for 1-2 minutes till they begin to change color into light brown color.
3 Next add 4-5 green chilies and sauté for 1 minute. if you want more spicy u can add one more chili.
4 Add chopped raw coconut 3/4 bowl, sauté for 2 minutes on low to medium flame. let them change color slightly.
5 Add half spoon of turmeric powder, combine all, then remove from the the flame and let it cool for 5 minutes.
6 After 5 minutes transfer it to mixer jar, and add 3-4 tamarind pieces, salt to taste, 3-4 garlic ribs, 1/2 inch ginger, add 2-3 spoons of water then grind it to smooth paste.
7 Tempering : in a tempering pan add 1/2 spoon of oil and let it heat for a minute, then add 1/4 spoon urad dal and few curry leaves. sauté for a minute. remove from the flame.
8 Then add to a coconut paste, combine well then Raw coconut chutney for rice ready to serve, serve with white rice & enjoy.

1 Raw coconut - 3/4 bowl
2 Green chilis - 5-6
3 Cumin seeds - 1/2 spoon
4 Mustard seeds - 1/2 spoon
5 Coriander seeds - 1 spoon
6 Bengal gram - 1 spoon

8 Oil - 1 table spoon
9 Curry leaves few
10 Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon
11 Garlic ribs - 3-4

Instructions to follow for Raw coconut chutney for rice :
