Simple coconut chutney recipe

Coconut chutney recipe is a best chutney for dosa, punugulu, idli, Vada. which is prepared by raw coconut, is a very popular recipe across India and it is very easy and instant recipe.
Usually this south Indian coconut chutney recipe is a type of chutney served in hotels and street side food centers, they used to serve with breakfast like dosa, idli, etc.., I have prepared this recipe like hotel style, you can also make this Simple coconut chutney recipe instantly.
using few grounds nuts are optional for this coconut chutney recipe but I have added few ground nuts and roasted Bengal gram to this recipe for taste, you can also skip adding Bengal gram if you don't want, it is basically regular chutney which can prepare easily at home.
How to make hotel style Simple coconut chutney recipe :
Step 1 Firstly, take raw coconut, grate this coconut about to one bowl. if you want to prepare more chutney u can take 2 bowls,
It depends on quantity of which you wanted to take.
Roasting And chutney preparation :
Step 1 In a pan add 2 spoons of ground nuts, put it on flame and dry roast till ground nuts get brown spots. roast on medium flame. once done let them cool down and trans for to bowl. if you want u can remove skin of groundnuts, here I'm not removing.
Step 2 Next, in a mixer jar add one bowl of grated raw coconut, roasted ground nuts 2 spoons, roasted Bengal gram 1 spoon, 2-3 garlic cloves, 1 inch ginger, salt as required, tamarind pieces 3 , green chilies 2, water 1/4 bowl.
Step 3 Then, grind it to smooth paste, if u need to add more water add gradually as required, and grind again to smooth paste. once done transfer to serving bowl, keep it aside.
Tempering :
Step 1 For tempering, in small fry pan, add half spoon of oil and put it on the flame, let it heat for a minute.
Step 2 Furthermore, add 1/4 spoon cumin seeds, and 1/4 spoon of mustard seeds, adjust the flame low to medium, when they begin to crackle add 1/4 spoon black split gram, also called as urad dal. sauté for 15-20 seconds till they change color slightly.
Step 3 Then, add few curry leaves, and 2 broken red chilies. when you add red chilies, remove seeds. because we have already added green chilies, it would be enough.
Step 4 Sauté till curry leaves become crispy, it will take 30 seconds. as its ready remove from the flame.
Step 5 Add this to prepared coconut paste and combine all. now coconut chutney recipe is ready to serve. enjoy with your favorite combo.
Ingredients for coconut chutney recipe :
1 Grated coconut - one bowl
2 Ground nuts - 2 spoons
3 Bengal gram - 1 spoon
4 Red chilies - 2
5 Green chilies - 2
6 Tamarind pieces - 3
7 Ginger - one inch
8 Garlic cloves - 2-3
9 Salt - as required
10 oil - half spoon
11 Cumin seeds - 1/4 spoon
12 Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
13 Urad dal 1/4 spoon
14 Curry leaves - few

2 Next, in mixer jar, add one bowl of grated coconut, 2 spoons roasted groundnuts, 1 spoon Bengal gram. salt as required, tamarind pieces 3, one inch ginger, 2-3 garlic cloves, 2 green chilies, water as required.
3 Add water gradually and grind to smooth paste, then transfer to serving bowl.
4 For tempering, in a pan add half spoon of oil and let it heat for a minute, then add 1/4 spoon cumin seeds, 1/4 spoon mustard seeds, when they begin to crackled add 1/4 spoon urad dal.
sauté for 20 seconds. add few curry leaves, and 2 broken red chilies, sauté for 30 seconds till they become crispy.
5 Once done, transfer it to coconut paste which we already prepared, and combine well. now serve coconut chutney with your favorite breakfast.

Instructions to follow to make Simple coconut chutney recipe

Tips to make coconut chutney recipe :
- Add few of Bengal gram, it will add good flavor to coconut chutney recipe. it is optional but I have prepared by using Bengal gram.
- Do not add more water while grinding to paste, and later as well, taste will not same by adding more water as before it was.
- Use less oil for tempering as possible.
