Street style onion samosa is a famous snack recipe which is prepared by Maida flour, also wheat flour. They are served hot & consumed with tomato ketchup or any chutney like (mint, coriander, or tamarind), is accompanied with chopped onions and carrots.
Usually made in cone shape or half moon shape. and filled with mixture of onions, carrots, green chilies and spices. this is small onion samosa. there are different samosa recipe in different regions. such as potato filled samosa, or (Panjabi style samosa) corn samosa.
There are different easy methods for folding samosa, you have to use Maida paste when you start folding samosa in cone shape. it will helps to stick up the samosa edges, also fill up if you have little gap at edge to prevent leakage.
Generally it is also a famous street food where it has been serving, especially at evening tea time, I actually love this recipe & I enjoy making samosa. this is one of the favorite recipe for almost everyone.

How to make onion samosa Best street style onion samosa :
Preparing dough :
Step 1 In a mixing bowl take half bowl of all purpose powder (also called as Maida), and half bowl of wheat flour, sieve flour to remove dust particles.
Step 2 Add 2 pinches of salt, and 2 spoons of hot oil or ghee. combine all.
Step 3 Gradually add water to flour, when kneading flour to make dough. dough should not be too smooth, it should be tight, Once dough is ready, rest it for 20-30 minutes.
Preparing stuff :
Step 1 By the time prepare stuff for samosa. for that in a mixing bowl take one finely chopped carrot, 2-3 finely chopped green chills, one onion slices, half spoon coriander powder, half spoon cumin powder, salt as required to taste.
Step 2 Furthermore, add half spoon chat masala, few coriander leaves (optional), few curry leaves (optional), ginger garlic paste, combine all to make stuff.
Making samosa sheets :
Step 1 Then take small ball size dough, dust flour and roll dough as much as thin sheet. once sheet ready, cut the edges, also cut sheet into rectangular sheets. make all sheets in a same way and same size.
Step 2 Heat chapati pan, roast sheet on low flame for 10-15 seconds each side. roast all sheets like this, once you done with this step, just keep them aside.
Making Maida paste :
Step 1 Add one spoon of all purpose powder to bowl and add required water to make paste, combine with fork or spoon to make a smooth paste. it will helps us to stick up samosa sheet.
Folding & Filling samosa:
Step 1 Take one roasted sheet, firstly fold from one end towards center in triangle shape for one time and fill inside with prepared stuff. then spread Maida paste to remaining sheet and fold again in same shape. and close edges with paste.
if you have any leakage part at corners close with paste. prepare all samosas like this.
Step 2 Heat pan for deep fry, once oil is ready for deep fry, adjust the flame on low- medium and slid one by one samosa in hot oil.
Step 3 Fry them till they get golden brown color, once they reach to required color then transfer to serving bowl.

4 For stuff preparation in a mixing bowl add one sliced onion, finely chopped carrot.
5 Add salt to taste, half spoon coriander powder, half spoon cumin powder, half spoon chat masala, 4-5 chopped green chilies, few coriander leaves, 1/4 spoon ginger garlic paste.
6 Combine all, keep aside.
7 Take lemon size dough, dust flour and begin to roll as thin as possible.
8 Cut sheet into rectangular sheets, and remove edges.
9 Roast one sheet for 10-15 seconds, each side.
10 Roast all sheets like this.
11 Start folding in triangular shape, fold for one step.
12 Fill in samosa with prepared onion stuff.
13 Spread Maida paste for remaining sheet, and fold remaining in triangular shape again. then close edges by using paste.
14 Prepare all samosa in same size.
15 Heat oil for deep fry, let it heat till hot enough.
16 Slid one by one, in hot oil, and fry on low- medium flame. till get golden brown color.
17 Once done, transfer them to serving bowl.
18 Serve Best street style onion samosa with tomato sauce, or mint chutney.

1 All purpose flour - half bowl
2 Wheat flour - half bowl
3 Salt - as required
4 Oil - required for deep fry
5 Carrot - one
6 Onion - one
7 Coriander powder - 1/2 spoon
8 Cumin powder - 1/2 spoon
9 Chat masala - 1/2 spoon
10 Green chilies - 3-4
11 Ghee - 2 spoons
12 Coriander leaves (optional)
13 Ginger garlic paste - 1/4 spoon
14 All purpose paste - as required
Tips of recipe :
- Do not make soft dough, as it should be little tight to prevent absorb less oil & it has become crispy.
- Do not over cook samosa sheet initially while making sheet for folding samosa, because, over cooked sheet is unable to fold samosa & sheet will break while folding.
- Close edges if you find any gaps at corner, you can apply Maida paste to close this small gap. ( remember its not for big gaps that you made while folding ).
