Wheat flour ladoo with jaggery
About Atta ladoo :
Wheat flour ladoo with jaggery is a Indian sweet food recipe which is prepared by whole wheat flour, jaggery. adding nuts to the flour gives extra crispy taste to Atta ladoo .
This is also called as Atta ladoo and it is a regular food recipe which is prepared during festival season. this recipe is followed by different regions with different flour. we can also prepare this recipe with gram flour.
Making jaggery syrup is easy but you have to careful of syrup consistency, because Atta ladoo recipe depends on syrup consistency.
if we could not make perfect consistency, the output of laddu becomes hard and unable to eat. it will become more sticky or else cannot chew laddu properly.
How to make Wheat flour ladoo with jaggery / Atta ladoo :
Roasting flour :
1 Firstly, to make Wheat flour ladoo with jaggery take ghee and in a fry pan or in a vessel add one spoon ghee. put it on the flame, and let it heat on low flame.
2 Then add one bowl of wheat flour, sieve flour before adding to the pan. stir continuously to roast flour evenly. do not roast on high flame, because flour becomes over roasted.
3 Roast till flour get light golden color. once the flour get change color to golden color, then remove from the flame.
Dry roast Nuts :
4 In a pan add 3spoons of ground nuts, and dry roast till ground nuts change color, when dark brown spots appear on the nuts, they started splitting and roasted well.
5 Then add 2 spoons of roasted Bengal gram to pan and roast for a while. Bengal gram get spots in very short time. once spots appear on nuts just remove from the flame and keep them aside.
Making jaggery syrup :
1 In other pan add half bowl of grated jaggery, and 1/4 bowl of water to it. then put on the flame. let it dissolve completely.
2 Stir continuously on low- medium flame. till the syrup becomes thick and thread consistency. you can also check by drop syrup in few water. if its looking sticky then its ready to make laddu. do not over cook, if it form as ball shape that makes laddu more sticky.
3 Once syrup gets thread consistency turn of the flame, and immediately add roasted nuts and roasted wheat flour to the syrup, then stir quickly, make sure entire flour combined with syrup.
Preparing Wheat flour ladoo with jaggery :
1 Wet your hands and start making laddu, make all laddu in a round shape and in a same size.
2 If its hard to form laddu, just wet hand again and make round laddu. then its done. tasty Wheat flour ladoo with jaggery is ready to serve.
Ingredients :
Wheat flour - one bowl
Jaggery - half bowl
Ghee - one spoon
Ground nuts - 3 spoons
Roasted Bengal gram - 2 spoons
Cardamom powder - 1/4 spoon (optional)

- Firstly, in a pan add 3 spoons of ground nuts, put pan on the flame and keep the flame on medium, dry roast on medium flame. till brown spots appear on nuts.
- Then add 2 spoons of roasted Bengal gram and roast for 30-40 seconds. once brown spots appear on Bengal gram, remove from the flame.
- and let them cool down. after that remove skin of groundnuts and split them.
- In a pan add one spoon of ghee, put on the flame and let it heat for a while.
- In a next step, add one bowl of wheat flour to the pan, keep the flame on low-medium flame.
- Roast till the flour get light golden color, keep stir till get golden color. once done remove from the flame.
- In other pan, add half bowl of jaggery, and add 1/4 bowl water to it.
- Let the jaggery dissolve completely, stir continuously on low-medium flame.
- Stir Till the syrup becomes thick and get thread consistency. if you find syrup became slightly thick, just remove from the flame.
- Then, add roasted nuts to the syrup. if you want you can also add cardamom powder to taste.
- Add roasted wheat flour, and combine flour immediately.
- Wet your hand and make round laddu, make all laddu in same size.
- Eventually, Wheat flour ladoo with jaggery / Atta ladoo is ready to serve. and you can store this laddu for 15-20 days.
