Home made sweet corn samosa recipe : Home made sweet corn samosa is a widely prepared tasty and most popular snack across India. and Home made sweet corn samosa consists of sweet corns, chili powder, grated carrots and Maida flour.
Mostly we find this samosa at street side food and bakery also sweet homes. and is used to serve at ceremony's. and small parties as well.
But here I have made this Home made sweet corn samosa with wheat flour instead of Maida because wheat flour is better for health when we compared to Maida. and using carrots is optional. but if we use grated carrots, it is healthy and it gives nice flavor to this Home made sweet corn samosa recipe.
How to make Home made sweet corn samosa recipe :
Making samosa dough :
Step 1 Initially, in a mixing bowl add one bowl of wheat flour, in that 1/8 spoon salt and 5-6 tea spoons of hot ghee, 1 tea spoon crushed carom seeds.
Step 2 Combine all & if you hold tightly the flour should be form as ball. then only samosa will become crispy.
Step 3 Then add water gradually and knead to tight dough. because samosa dough should be slightly tight. and set aside for 15 minutes.
Masala sweet corn preparation :
Step 1 In a pan add one bowl of sweet corns and required water for boiling corns for 5 minutes.
Step 2 Once they become soft, after 5 minutes strain water & set aside.
Step 3 In a fry pan add 1 table spoon ghee, let it heat for a minute. then add one finely chopped onion then sauté till transparent.
Step 4 Then add one grated carrot & sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 5 Now, add boiled sweet corns & combine them once and add spices such as 1/2 spoon red chili powder, 1/2 spoon cumin powder, 1/4 spoon chat masala and salt to taste.
lastly add two tea spoons of lemon juice to adjust all flavors & to get sour flavor. then combine them all once & remove from flame.
Making Home made sweet corn samosa :
Step 1 Take dough and make round balls to roll. roll it into thick sheet to make samosa.
then cut into two portions.
Step 2 Take one side of the portion and roll into cone shape by stick up edges. and stuff with prepared masala sweet corns, close edges again using Maida paste.
Step 3 In a frying pan, add required oil for deep fry & let it heat till hot enough.
Step 4 Once oil is ready for frying, adjust the flame on medium and slid samosa one by one gently.
Step 5 Fry them evenly till they get golden brown color. once they reached to desired color remove from flame.
Now, hot Home made sweet corn samosa is ready to serve.

Ingredients:
1 Wheat flour - 1 cup
2 Ghee - 7 tea spoons
3 Sweet corns - one bowl
4 Carom seeds - 1 tea spoon
5 Red chili powder - 1/2 tea spoon
6 Cumin powder - 1/2 tea spoon
7 Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon
8 Carrot - 1
9 Onion - 1
10 Chat masala - 1/4 tea spoon
11 Salt to taste
12 Water as required
13 Oil for deep fry
Given below steps wise recipe along with photos :
1 In a mixing bowl add one bowl of wheat flour. (sieve before you add ), and add 1/8 spoon salt, 1 tea spoon crushed carom seeds & 5-6 spoons hot ghee or oil.
2 Combine all of them & check the flour consistency it should be form as ball.
3 Knead to tight dough, it should not be soft as chapati dough. & set aside for 15 minutes.
4 Boil one bowl sweet corn for 5 minutes & Strain water, & keep them aside.
5 In a pan add one tea spoon ghee, & let it heat for a half minute.
6 Add one finely chopped onions, sauté for 2 minutes.
7 Add 2 chopped green chilies, one grated carrot. & sauté for 2 minutes.
8 Furthermore, add boiled sweet corns, 1/2 spoon red chili powder, 1/2 spoon coriander powder, 1/2 spoon cumin powder & 1/4 spoon chat masala.
9 Combine them once, squeeze 2 tea spoons lemon juice, & remove from flame.
10 Later make round equal portions.
11 Roll into thick samosa sheet, & make two portions.
12 Apply flour paste at edge of the sheet to stick up.
13 Gently stick two edges of sheet. & it will become like a cone shape.
14 Stuff with sweet corn masala.
15 Close with flour paste again.
16 Heat required oil for deep frying, fry on low- medium flame (do not fry in high flame )
17 Fry till they get golden brown color. and remove from flame.
18 Enjoy corn samosa with tomato sauce.
Tips for Home made sweet corn samosa recipe :
1 Do not fry them in high flame because they will not fry inside of the sheet layer. and make sure the flame is on low- medium while frying samosa.
2 Do not forget to add hot ghee or oil to the flour while kneading dough. because this is the important step for this recipe. it helps samosa get crispy.
3 And dough should be tight for samosa. do not make samosa with soft dough.
